don't turn your hobby into a business, won't be a hobby anymore
There's always aspects of any job that are unpleasant, but I'll never understand people working jobs that you don't at least on net enjoy. When you do it right you basically get paid to hang out with your friends and the beer is a tax write off.

I don't fly myself but I like to watch, https://www.bomberfieldusa.com/
My buddy flew some nice jets, he's older than me and of course was in the Air Force after high school. He since sold his jets and now flying prop RC planes. Less stress when flying a little slower and less costly.

Long ago, far away I owned Custom Cutters. Kitted a lot of giant scale kits. Lesson I learned, don't turn your hobby into a business, won't be a hobby anymore. Haven't flown in probably 30 years, I think about it at times but just don't see myself getting back into it. It's good to see people are still having a good time doing it!
I turned my photography hobby into a business in 2011 and have been working longer hours than when I worked for others, but having a blast and making a decent living with it too.

I noticed that, too. Maybe he doesn't care.

Is the FAA license addresses public like HAM radio license?

Depends. Applicants have the ability to request address be suppressed in the airman registry, but not the aircraft registry; don’t know about the drone registry but if you have a registration number, you can enter it here and see what comes back.

Getting back into rc planes myself. Used to fly glow planes and electric helis. Picked up a Radiomaster TX16s mkII last week. Going from top of the line JR transmitters twenty years ago to a transmitter running open source is a bit of a learning curve. Sticking with park fliers for now, specifically the original GWS Slow Stick. It's literally the most most fun plane I've ever flown.

I miss flying RC badly. Those "my drone can't possibly crash" guys and subsequent FAA regs F'd up the hobby for me and a few million others. In 2020, motorcycling became my hobby.

I had a standard (2.0m) Radian up to @1400' AGL and a Radian XL to @1850' during the daytime, both illegal now.

Added LEDs to the std. Radian and flew many 'a enjoyable nighttime hours with it.

I've seen many Slow Sticks of varying size and power plants; they're all butt ugly yet fly very well. <thumbsup>

Yous guys enjoy and stay out of the pokey. :p
