Disagree.
The Russ cannot project force. Not for very long. They will be worn down.
Sure they might kill a bunch but there are many millions of them.
They can't even defeat their next door neighbor Ukraine. How will they defeat a people thousands of miles away? They ran away from Afghanistan a while back as well.
If anybody might pull it off, it would be The Sons of Han. But even they have difficulty with their population and military age men and projecting power.
Don't bet on a foreign power winning against Africa.

I know a lot of folks from Ukraine, Afghanistan and various places in Africa. Of those three, Africa is the most disorganized and weak. Russia could roll Niger up in a month or less and Niger’s neighbors would gladly make a deal to sell the Russians anyone they needed after the fact.

They don't need total domination to wreak havoc and that is not their goal in Africa. Just keep all the internal conflicts fueled, while they abscond with the riches (e.g., Wagner) to fuel expansion of their empire (e.g., Ukraine and eastern Europe).

While I agree russia will not likely be able to effectively projects their power, the relative force superiority will probably be greater in Africa than in Ukraine allowing them to be more effective.
