    Hey Tejikanz!

Last week, had the privilege of shooting the PSA SHOOTOUT!

    What a grand affair!

    Six Stages of Steel...

Stage #1 had 27 targets, including a Texas Starr...

Stage #2 had.........32! Count them! 32 Pepper Poppers.

    Stage #3 had 30 targets a tilt.

    Stage #4 had 30 targets...straight across..

Stage #5 had 27 of the super fast "Firemen" targets...(shot 23 seconds with the Stock Auto...the rest of the Match? Had my fool eyes closed)

    Stage #6 was a 29 target mix...

Results are out...manged to finish #5 in Stock Revolver....with 230 seconds...

Managed to be on top of the second page in Stock Auto with a dead slow 219 seconds...

    Dear Mark,

Outstanding shooting and thank you for sharing your pictures!

I will show your thread to my husband on Sunday when he gets up or after he comes home from Church.

He remembers you from other OLD forums in the past and THIS one even though he does not post any longer anywhere and he never did join this specific forum.

I have shown him your posts and pictures in the past from THIS forum too. The two of you like MANY of the same EXACT firearms and cartridges/calibers. Plus both of you 'reload'.

The SMILE on your face at the range made me smile too!

There is 'something' about shooting on a NICE DAY or even on a bad weather day (Uh huh!) and hitting your targets well that will make any lady or gentleman SMILE.

Take care and have a GREAT Sunday!

Blessings to you and your children too.

    Sincerely,

    Catherine

Competition is fun, spent many weekends shooting IHMSA back in the 80's. Nice that you can compete! Keep up the good shooting. I'll stop by later on YouTube.
    Hey 55,

Plum wore out a Model 29 shooting AT flat critters...

The last season I shot them? I did the cast bullet STANDING format...scores were "down" but FUN FACTOR was way up!

Pins, plates, Bullseye, doubles skeet (my favorite scattergun activity), flat critters, plinking...if it goes bang? I love it!

How many rounds do you bring? @msharley
    Hey 55,

In a Steel Match? 300rds/gun. Figure 180 targets over 6 Stages. There were 175 targets, total. I fired 192 (I think? I counted right??) rounds with revolver. Meaning I missed 17 times? (now, take 17 multiply by 1.3 seconds...that gives you 22 seconds add another 10 seconds for three reloads...and you get 32 seconds! Would have put me under 200 seconds total time for the Match! When I say I "left" 30 seconds on the "table"...that is what I mean...)

With Auto? No way to tell how many I missed (count moon clips with Revolver)....as the brass is left lay...(no time for picking up brass..they are trying to get 700+ competitors through the Match. (I bobbled two mayhaps three reloads with the Auto...SHOOTER ERROR!) I left near to 40 seconds on the table with Stock Auto...(was shooting like Mr. Ray! Mr. Ray Charles!)

At the Pin Shoot? Generally take 400 to 500rds per gun...? Have never used that many...Have gone through a number in the Man vs Man in 1911....One year? I knocked 47 or 48 competitors out of the Man vs Man...Needed to do two more. Then? Had brain fart...(failed to LOOK at the fool FRONT sight!)... That is a goodly bit of shooting...

In '17? My buddy's Bride & I went through 1500+ revolver rounds in just THREE DAYS! (I have three different revolver loads. Stock Rev, Space Gun, Concealed Carry) She was "High Lady" up until the last afternoon of the event!

Hope to do an ICORE Match this Fall...No idea on round count...Just want to do some speedloader gun work (.38 Special)...

With a shotgun? Most fellows take a case of #4 Buck Shot...

    Hope this helps!
