Where would I find details of land sold by a public entity?

The Trinity River Authority does, or did until recently, own a good portion of the undeveloped land north of FM 356 shown in the link. The main gate is near Davis Dr. which goes south and the map appears to show an address of 6389.

The hard but correct answer will be going through the county records of all property transfers in the desired location. Open records laws may show some opportunity to identify transfer proceeds. It is very detailed and time consuming to do correctly. A good local attorney, title search shop, or tax valuation challenging shop will have sufficient expertise if you are willing to fund their research.

Trinity county thinks a PDF is high tech. Very little online data and often links at the county's site are worthless.
No idea what ON X's source(s) are but if it's the county, I doubt it would help.

Who ever is on the title, that's who's info pops up with ON X Hunt. You can look at any area on a map & it shows the boundries & property owner.

ON X don't list if the property is for sale but does give you the name & address the property owner.... or trust corporation.

I heard of the sale just a couple days ago and would imagine many sources aren't updated yet.

Every county has to file the transfer. Long time ago it was in volumes which you had to physically inspect to confirm ownership. Most all countries have a CAD program they use, several have proprietary ones some use off the shelf. The State has been pushing for all to use open source programs. But for now it’s a hit and miss proposition.
