I went with the Nikon Black 1000FX, but due to the company actions since that purchase you might want to consider other brands. Vortex high end scopes are nice ( I think their low end are crap), and in a perfect world a Swarovski, Zeiss, Nightforce, or Trijicon.

I'm really digging that Bergara B-14 in 6.5 creedmoor. It's at the top of the list now. Going to go to the Conroe gun show this weekend hoping to find one

Ended up getting a Savage model 12 308 with a Vortex viper PST 5-25x50 for about $1250

I’m on the north side of Houston. AGR Outdoors had a new Benelli M4 for $1800 on the shelf last time I was in there.
