Harris County this time with another buy your gun with the other guy's taxes since the Houston one was such a success. "Harris County commissioners approved a plan this week [Sep 2022] to spend $1.1-million to conduct eight gun “buybacks” across the county."

Unfortunately they've learned their lesson and won't pay for "ghost guns" this time around.

I've got an old heavy Kmart single shot 12 gauge in terrible shape that I'd gladly "give up" for $50 at one of those buy backs.

Another gun "buyback" but this one had real profit potential. If something with the same particulars happen anywhere close to me, I confess that I'll show up with at least a half dozens of my crappiest guns.

Do you really think they would offer as much in Texas as they are in New York? How long would you hold on to those?

I have a Raven I paid $50 for about 35 years ago. I could get a $150 gift card for it.
If they were paying cash I could put it toward a real gun.

I remember ravens at $15 or two for $25
