Even on sale that is more than double what the guns are selling for on a per gun basis. That collection is about $8,846 per gun. The ones that I can find on the market in that series are about $3500 per gun. Some are less:

¡Ay, caramba!

I read-up a bit on them and found this:

Lew Horton's is the distributor that sponsored the El guns. They at one time had several for sale on their website, lewhortons.com, they were all serial number 1, and pretty pricy.
What I was told is they were manufactured for a Mexican contract that fell through. They were then sold by Lew Horton's to the US market. Their were many variations but I believe all were .38 soups. Full size, Commander size and Officers size. Colt is still selling .38 soups with the ELCEN serial number prefix, I believe these are leftover frames from this contract.

Matching serial numbers all new unfired, boxes and or bags and a whole collection/ lot together.
Also note on your first link the "Realized price". That will vary apon many factors. Scheels knows their stuff. IMO

Realized price for three of them with matching serial numbers: $5,175 or $1,725 per gun?
