Ever wonder if the Screw Worm Eradication program of the 50s & 60s was successful?
This is Tennessee Tuxedo, a neighborhood feral cat. Zoom in on his forehead. He's had that big, open, forehead wound for probably 2 years. Constantly trying to scab over & heal. Constantly getting reopened & worsened by continuous fighting.
Yet he prevails. He wouldn't have lasted a week in 1958. Ewww!

Will sure be glad when the razor sharp puppy teeth give way to adult teeth. He likes to play rough and afterwards my arms and hands look like I lost a fight with a barb wire fence.

We had to take Otto in to the vets last night. What we thought was pancreatitis, turned out to be a blockage in a small intestine. He went into surgery around 7 o’clock this morning and we got a call from the vet at nine saying he did great and is recovering and should be going home with us tonight

    Thank you, Lord

This is what they removed from his small intestine, along with a crap load of toy stuffing

Very glad he is doing okay. That is often fatal.
