If you want to continue to shoot 3-gun then be prepared to travel. There are only three clubs in the Houston area that are still holding 3-gun matches on a fairly regular basis. PSC range in Friendswood, West Houston IDPA has a group that hosts matches and Thunder gun range in Conroe.

These are local matches that will give you some monthly practice, but they all tend to avoid hosting matches in the summer months when heat is brutal and participation falls off

The Ranch in Eagle Lake, TX hosts a few matches per year. If you want to shoot 3-gun and are willing to drive then you can scratch that itch living in Pearland. As far as USPSA or IDPA, you can shoot that 6 days a week pretty much year round. I don't know anything about the Dallas shooting scene. Hopefully, someone else can advise.

Not to be rude or mess up your thread but you really need to research the two areas you've chosen to possibly reside. Rather than a place to shoot or compete. And just know that everything is Far away in texas.
    Welcome aboard!
