I'm new here in the Houston area. Are there any good places to hunt? I'm thinking of hunting deer and hog this year.

Op I also forgot to add but if you have kids there is a cheaper alternative but the hunter is mostly kids. You can sign up with the Texas Youth Hunter Program as I steered many families to this option. I have met many ranchers participating in this program with their goal and aims is to get more youths to hunt and make it affordable.

I bowhunt as well and I do more hog hunts with my Forge Bow.

Just drive out into the country & look for trees with purple paint around them, it's code for those in the know that there is generally good hunting with an understanding land owner.
