There is a reason why the AR platform is now called the Modern Sporting Rifle. Why not provide a forum for those who want to talk about solely ARs a place to do so without having to search through a bunch of post that the AR crowd will deem irrelevant? We have a revolver only forum and a semi auto pistol only forum for this very reason.

I agree. But the posts in this subforum should be kept strictly on topic.


Topics should include : .30 super carry, the M1 Garand, where to find AR-180 mags, the S&W m&p12, and of course, the M1917 rifle.

Never have never will call an AR type rifle a "modern sporting" rifle. Why develope a new name?
an attempt to make them not seem as scary black rifles for the squeamish?

Any way we can get a AR/semi auto forum added to TGT? We’ve got the pistols separated into revolver and semi auto pistol, would make sense to also serperate the rifle forums as well.

I think we don't need a separate form considering the current traffic, if discussions are needed ar15.com or r/ar15 might be good places since you are probably not only interested in Texan AR15 (that yells... Howdy?)

Otherwise let's have a Aero Presicion and 7.5 Swiss forum...

At the end of the day, post count is what drives subforums. AR does not get enough. This site is diverse, and was intended for Texas issues first.
