I have two. Both are well made and a good fit. One is for a 1911 and the other is for a P938. I don’t recall what I paid but would buy again

The one I have for my 1911 seems to be good quality. It was tight. Some slight fitment was required by putting a plastic bag over the pistol, working it in to the holster to loosen it a bit.

I buy a lot of holsters for Family members.

After lots of experiments, I have gone back to GALCO & Bianchi except for “Uncle Mike’s” synthetic in-pocket & shotgun scabbards.

    Y’all can keep the ’’Kydex”.

I bought this to carry a commander-sized 1911… but it accommodates a full size

    very nice molded, sturdy leather

    comfy, good retention…

    absolutely no complaints

I don’t use it much because my preference is IWB

I'm leather all the way on my OWB holsters. NO to Kydex. I dont carry IWB at all. Can't stand something in my pants besides my own package and my wife.

Our youngest Son was like that until I gave him a new P365 w/ a good holster.

    Now he wants all IWB’s.

I have both types for larger handguns.

95+% of the time it is IWB. Even way back when I was very fat.

At one time i had 3 of them

They are nice quality but ...everyone I've had was super hard to draw from..I mean it was scary how much force it takes to pull the weapon from it.
I tried all the tricks..wrapping gun in plastic bags and trying to mold them better ...I gave up.

Not sure why they have all.been like that but I went back to Kydex

I have one that looks just like that for my fullsize 1911 in .45. I agree they are good quality. Mine came very tight as well. I usually wrap my guns in wax paper and stuff them into leather holsters to break them in, just haven’t done so with my 1791 yet.

The only other leather OWB pancake holster I have to compare is Don Hume’s OT721. I like the Don Hume holster better for a few reasons, but that’s not to say I don’t like the 1791 holster, which looks and feels to me like it could outlast the Don Hume holster. It’s just that the Don Hume holster tends to conceal my 1911 better than my 1791 by keeping it and the grip closer to my body. The Don Hume also feels a tad bit lighter and more comfortable than the 1791.But the 1791 looks and feels like it’s built like a tank and could outlast any of my other leather holsters.

Anyway, that’s just my impression. But again, to me 1791 is good quality.
