And one of the team members made a proposal to his lady during the post interview. That was pretty wow. He was quite prepared with the ring in his back pocket. So sweet!
This makes up for 1980 & 1986. A lifetime of broken hearts can finally be laid to rest! As a lifelong 'Stros fan, I am still in shock. My guys finally did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too much of my youth in the Seventies was spent watching Steve Garvey , Davey Lopes and the rest of the Dodgers mopping the Astroturf with my heroes, guys like JR Richard, Jose Cruz and Joe Niekro. It's a little sweeter to have beaten LA of all teams
Much better result than 2005. Had tickets to game five, which was on my then seven year old son's birthday. Swept by the White Sox in four. Sad day in the MC household.
The last MLB game I saw was Dodgers v Astros 1982. Nolan Ryan's 5th no-hitter. We took 9-10 yr olds to the game because we were the (North Austin) Dodgers - not to see the Astros. Our Dodgers wanted LA Dodger-signed baseballs. Lined up for autographs after the game. The Left Coast team was so butt-hurt from the way Ryan had treated them that they wouldn't give autographs - except for Dusty Baker & he was a real gentleman & good sport about it.
