Only a thousand dollars.
as long as people will pay, they'll always be expensive.Wish they would hurry up and deregulate suppressors. I don't care what anyone says, what goes into making a suppressor isn't worth anywhere near their prices. I certainly wouldn't pay those prices for a muffler and essentially that's all it is, a small muffler that machined to fit a gun.
My buddy who manufacturers AR parts says the materials for a lower is like $4-7. Granted, he's got a couple hundred grand in equipment, but started about $30-40k on his first CNC, a used Haas.

Well, think about it. You have a piece of seamless tube for the outside plus another tube that goes inside to use a spacers for the baffles. Plus some plate for the A blast baffle and some thin plate for a few standard baffles. Everything can be purchased off Amazon and is pretty easy to fabricate. The only real trick is the threading which can be done in a lathe with speeds and feeds from harbor freight $750 or so. This is 100 year old technology and if you want a titanium can that looks like a mailbox you will need so spend some money on a CNC plasma cutter.
The web is loaded with x-ray photos of cans and you can see they are easy to put together.
Are you supposed to load it through the can or unscrew it for loading and then screw it back on?
