I prefer iron sights. Don't need to worry about batteries running down or leaking.I hate iron sights...whats my best bet in the 300-500 range?

I prefer iron sights as well but my eyes disagree. I would put a illuminated 1x6 scope on it . The best of both worlds.I prefer iron sights. Don't need to worry about batteries running down or leaking.
Going for mud on the turtle?I like turtles.
what’s your point?
I’ve had a primary arms micro dot for years, same battery and no issues.Home
The Primary Arms red dot catalog is here. With options like the Primary Arms SLx and Primary Arms Classic series, you'll be sure to find the best red dot for you.www.primaryarms.com

I want a reflex type sight for it, but trijicon is a bit out of my budget. Anything close in the 300-500 range?Sorry you said red dot. Maybe give the new enclosed Trijicon RMR a shot. I like their 1 moa dots

No astigmatism here, but envisioning a reflex sight on a pic rail. I have a couple Romeo’s on other rifles, and love them, just want something more compact and don’t need magnification. Not sure what style RDS or mounting system you're looking for, but I've been doing a bit of reading on budget oriented sights lately and am (surprisingly to me) leaning towards a Sig Romeo 5 as a simple yet reliable optic. Edited to ask if you have experience with red dot sights or if you have astigmatism...would suck so spend $300-500 on an optic and not have a clearly projected reticle. If you have astigmatism, I'd recommend a prism sight based on my reading.

Holosun has a few models that fit the reflex type sight bill. 510 comes to mind, but maybe a little high of a mount with the QD mount. Primary Arms really need to step it up with their reflex options.I want a reflex type sight for it, but trijicon is a bit out of my budget. Anything close in the 300-500 range?
