Longer barrels for more burn time and velocity, and for greater sight radius and accuracy.

His 28" barrel isn't that much shorter than the typical minimum for long rifles, but somebody in his comments wondered how a 40" barrel might do.

Love this guys channel, an engineer with his own workshop and plenty of property to conduct 'field trials'

Idaho is like a colder, wetter Texas in that it breeds a more rugged stock of people. Beautiful state. Boise is being inundated with Californians escaping, but it's still a solid red state for now, because of people like this gentleman.
