I have an older 1-ton, a 1996 F350 that I've kept liability on for a lil over a year now, just bought an '05 Expedition on notes. Exp required full coverage so I figured to drop the ins on the F350 and park it, maybe sell later on.
F350 was $65mo for simple liability, added the Exp and the new total was $138mo. I asked about dropping theF350 and they said the Exp would be higher by itself, said it ate up my 2-vehicle discount. Full coverage for the Exp by itself would be $145mo so I kept the F350 on the books (total of 138mo).
Any suggestions? Do these numbers make sense? I mentioned this to a friend a coupla years older than me (I'm 57) and he says he pays $600 every 12mos for liability on his PT Cruiser.
