I don't know if I'd call a nobody reporter lipping off to the President of the United States "taking it to him". More like rude and uncalled for. Hope he loses his job. It was distasteful even when Bill O' did it prior to the Super Bowl and he isn't a big nobody.

That "Nobody" is supposed to hold the power in this country not the spoiled brat that got elected and shits on our constitution. It's "we the people" not "me the president". You have no problem when people acted that way or talked that way with Bush why is it a problem now?

the press has given Obama a free pass for 4 years.....i've got no problem with a reporter asking a few pointed tough questions

when the "free press" has to cower in front of our elected leader, then are they really free?

Of course I have a problem when people would do the same thing to Bush. I don't know where you get that idea since I wasn't even on this forum when Bush was in office. >_>

That aside, no one will argue that it's "we the people" but since "we the people" don't generally have access to speak to the President directly it would be nice if the people that represent "we the people" don't make a complete ass of themselves when they do. There is a right way and a wrong way to ask questions and interrupting somebody is no way to go about doing it.

The New York Times was too slow to load and I didn't get to read the item but that leftist rag isn't fit for toilet paper so I didn't miss much....As for obastard and the titles "President & POTUS" , he may be there and wallow in that but I will never, have never accepted him as either !!! As Carter and Clinton go, they cheapened the Office but they were Presidents....The great impositor who hides so much information as to his birth, religion, universities, travel as what nationality to Pakistan and other places are as yet unanswered. Now if you are talking about the President of the proposed United Socialist States of America,
I recognize to whom they are referring!!!

i was unaware that we elected our journalists and newsmen to represent us.

i am however very unimpressed how the president, who is an elected official, has chosen to represent the american people to the world.

will reserve further comment until i get around to viewing the video.

You can nitpick my wording all you want to but it just boils down to this: Respect the office, if not the man. I just feel that this reporter did not respect the office.

I just watched the whole thing and I didn't get the impression Mr. Watson was disrespectful in any way. I saw no indication Mr. Watson was "lipping off" to Obama at anytime. I also do not consider Mr. Watson a "nobody" any more than I consider myself a "nobody". The opinion that Obama is a sombody and anyone else (especially a citizen) is a nobody is, in my opinion, downright insulting to the people of this nation. Just my two bits.

Nobody is a strong word to use, but it works for a lack of something more fitting. If you imagine the world as a giant still pond and my own, or that reporter's actions creating a ripple effect, it would have a small ripple. Like a grain of sand landing on the surface of the water. The leader of the free world by comparison, would have ripples that reach all edges of that pond. I have no illusions about how important I am in the grand scheme of things. I just think that an amount of respect should be shown to the office.

You can ask a person anything you want to so long as you do so tactfully...

He challenged the POTUSes honesty when given a direct answer. The guy had seven min to put together 30 seconds worth of blurbs and he keeps asking the POTUS to keep repeating himself. It's just not a good style honestly and any PTOUS would have called him on it.

Eveyone has their opinions......................yours, mine, and others (obama, Watson, etc.) Up to a point we can all agree to disagree. Opinions are never lies if they are honest. I believe obama is dishonest, therefore, I do not agree with his "opinions" nor his "nonanswers". Like most politicians of any party, they skirt around straightforward answers and assume whatever they have said is an answer because "they", the anointed, have said it. I have absolutely no respect for obama. And hopefully I won't lose my respect for the office just 'cause he's sittin' in it.
