Why 'felony endangerment' and not homicide? Or at least manslaughter.

She "accidentally placed the child in the oven instead of the crib". How does someone accidentally put a child in a lit oven? Spouse and I somehow managed to raise 3 kids without "accidentally" putting them in the oven. As teenagers we may have wanted to intentionally put one or two in the oven but they were too big by then.

It is sick yet this and worse happens daily and we don’t hear about it. Even worse is the punishment won’t match the crime. And in less then a week’s time it will be if it never happened.
