    Hello everyone

I'm pretty new to the gun hobby. My husband & I are both veterans but he was an infantry Marine while I did glorified math in the Navy and maybe had too much to drink.

I can't wait to engage with all of you guys and learn new things from the experts around here :) I used to have air rifles as a little girl and we have an arsenal of Dracos, ARs, AKs, and more. I'm awful with handguns (still marksman qualed so I'm not a storm trooper) but I think the recoil gets to me. I've been thinking about buying a ppk like Mr. Bond or something small with a compensator. I want to be able to conceal carry in my purse (especially when I become a momma) without being a hazard to others.

My current goal is to learn enough about guns to impress the men of the house (although name dropping calibers already seems to do the trick) and my ultimate dream would be to build my own m16a4 clone and be able to take care of it. I grew up hearing stories and watching movies about Vietnam so that's probably the cause of my obsession.

I'm excited for hunting season! I can't shoot a deer for the life of me (they're too cute ) but I can field dress one no problem which is why my husband lets me tag along.

I hope this wasn't too long winded and at least made some of you laugh. I also hope everyone is enjoying the warm Texas summer air lol. I speak English and Russian (I'm half Ukrainian rip) so feel free to pm me to start a conversation. My language may be a bit crass, but what can I say I'm a sailor. Thank you all for taking the time to read this. :)

    Welcome aboard.
    Thank you neighbor :)

Hello and welcome. I thank you and your husband for your service. I have a friend that was in the Navy and his favorite story was that his ship was in drydock so long that it took 3 tugboats to pull the ship off the coffee grounds. :)
Thank you! I have lots of stories if you ever want to hear about pure degeneracy :)

    Thank you so much! <3

And thank you everyone for all the warm welcomes!
