Every morning my TV tells of an endless series of ‘’shootings’’, many fatal; invariably caused by Black Urban Youth, many associated with the ‘’drug culture’’.

They provide a source of endless propaganda for anti-2A efforts.

I wonder if anyone has ever considered having firearms instruction introduced into their school curricula; to teach them proper respect for weapons, each-other, gun handing, laws, and perhaps some “Don’t do as I did’’ talks by reforming prisoners ?

As it is now, all they ‘’know’’ is what they learn from their drugs-&-guns ‘’culture’’.

A few years back, I looked into the. media’s use of “child” in relation to shootings.

Seems that drug dealers up to 25yo killing one-another are considered as “Children” for their propaganda statistics.

Any efforts to promote familiarity and safety around firearms are in direct opposition to the left's strategy to disarm us. Firearms must remain a forbidden subject, lest they lose their appeal to young thugs looking to do everything they can to show how tough they are. They have to remain a status symbol, not a tool to be respected and used safely and legally. And trying to instill a respect for human life among the ones the Dems see as their party's property? Not a chance. They need that misery, dependence on the state, and crime in order to blame Republicans and "prove" that only they can save America with their socialist ideals.

Have you even been in one of those schools of which you speak. Forget it, bad idea, take my word for it. A firearms class will not remove the cultural influence that leads to such crimes. Remove that influence, replace it with a culture of respect and then maybe firearms classes.

My brother was a county sheriffs deputy in StClair County in Illinois and when they would get a call to an East St Louis Grade school, (one of those schools), they had strict instruction not to enter the buildings withouth adequate backup.

Some of those 11 and 12 year olds were quite experienced with firearms, including how to use them in evil ways.

I once left my airplane at the Cahokia Airport to attend a medical meeting @ St. Louis.

The short drive through ESL was so scary that I did an immediate 180 back to plane & got a brace of pistols.

Later found that had I been caught I’d have been in trouble for having pistols. No matter the armed thugs on every corner or all the bullet holes in the street-side buildings.

I won’t ever set foot in that hellhole of a ’’state’’ again.

Just to be clear I would not start a firearms program in almost any school today without first changing the attitude of students to one of respect. Even schools considered to be in upscale neighborhood produce students with major attitude problems in the current world. What with transgender studies, the confusion created by trans studies, DEI balderdash, everything supposedly being racist, new math (or whatever it is called today), the super leftist political attitude of so called educators that they instill in their students, the anti-gun atmosphere in schools, the BS about bullying and its victims (if the bullies were taught respect by their so called victims, kids who were empowered to fight back instead of being wussies then bullying would end) and so on. To do any of that the curricula need to change to actual school worthy subjects as opposed to the leftist agenda of subjects. Also, before the atitudes of students can change to one of respect, the attitudes of teachers must be changed to one of respect for the students and their parents. They need to understand we do not work for them they work for us (at least in public schools). They should not be in control, they who pay their salaries, even in private schools wherein parents pay mega-tuition fees, should have much more input as to what is taught. This mindset of teachers that they control what is taught is rifdiculous and dangerous. When the attitude of the teachers is changed then we can work with the students to teach them respect.

What you describe is product of the dissolution of the Black urban family, which I attribute directly to LBJ, his NOT-SO “Great Society’’, and its AFDIC (AFIDC) “programs’’.

I can remember way back when the NRA did have a program they would put on in schools, if requested, to teach firearms safety.

I believe it was called the Eddie Eagle program.

I would imagine that they didn’t get a lot of calls for it.
It was free of charge too.
