    I received the email too. When it popped up in my inbox, I thought it may be my approval for my suppressor. Oh well, this will probably slow things down even more.
    Approvals on e-files have been coming back in record time. About 2 weeks.
    My first stamp was almost 15 months, 2012.

    Wow! I submitted mine in October and have not heard anything. Is there a way to find the status?
    Yeah, call the atf and have your serial number or permit control number ready.

    If you call, it will likely be in a pending status, meaning unassigned to an examiner yet and they won't have a time frame for you. It basically lives in this state for 95% of the time.

    If you filed a form 1, check the eforms website. If a dealer filed a form 4 it won't show up on your eforms log in.
