Anyone here have a membership there? Seems kinda pointless that you have a "membership" but still have to make an appointment AND your still limited to 30minutes. If the membership would include shooting up to an HOUR, id be all over it... but 30 minutes goes by so fast.

I work in Rim and get an hour lunch so i COULD go there for a 30 minute session during my lunch break... I guess $100 would be cool since its $10 per trip and i think i could get my moneys worth pretty quick... but 30 minutes is my hang up.

are there other benefits im just not see'ing?

I tried Texas Guns but I just can't justify the $$$ especially since you have to use their ammo ....

Camp bullis would be awesome if i had a Dod card

oh well... Guess im just looking for a shooting option that isn't an hour from my house.

    Thanks

I'm more interested in where is a private range and how do I get in? I'm a member to PSC range in Houston and it is sooooooo much better than a public range. Combo to the gate, no pushy range masters/owners, members take care of the range because they have a stake in its upkeep, shoot as many of your guns as long as you want.

why do you have to use their ammo cant you just bring soft point?

Im assuming your talking about Texas Guns and having to use their ammo?

No, you can't use anything but their own. They run Lead free and you HAVE to buy their ammo.

I even brought my own ammo of the SAME BRAND and they wouldn't let me use it... HAD to be purchased from there.... pissed me off and haven't gone back.

'Top of the hill, Kerr County!
I think the guy that owns Texas Guns used to own a gun shop/store in Kerrville but it shut down because, in my opinon, it was extremely expensive and customer service was non existent, a lot of BS and very little actual service.

    Trust me, it is!

$25/yr, but it's only open most Saturdays and Sundays for four hours per day. I say "most" because if there isn't a RSO, or other military training going on that prevents its use, the range doesn't open.

But having a 300m range pretty much to yourself is sweet!

The downside is no non-DoD ID card holders. None. Period. That means no friends or even family members unless they have one. That is the main reason I made my 12-yr-old get his!

    Cheers! M2
