    Middle of no where
Back in the 90s I had a Katana 750 for a few years. I was on BW8 going from Spring to Atascocita about 1am on a weekday. Traffic was clear up ahead of me... so I dropped it 3 gears twisted the throttle. Red lined 4th & 5th .. creeping into 150 hit 6th & was going for 175 but 167 is where I stopped. I had found a all new respect for speed on 2 wheels. Too many thoughts of what could go wrong started about 160...lol.

Hypothetically, if you would have ever exceeded the posted speed limit on two wheels. How fast would it have been? Just hypothetically: )

To me. Speed on 4 wheels is kind of serene. On 2 it is an experience.

    I agree.

186, but the speedometer indicated 192.

Funny thing is I've only pushed speed on a naked. ~140. I never tried top speed on a bike with fairings.

Driving top speed at the Richard Petty school at talladega felt like cruising down the river. It was fun as shit though.

Saw a pic of a racing bike that hit a deer on the track @ 130. Driver survived but bike didn't. Deer didn't need a trip to the butcher. Guy tried to get 6 guys in a beemer up to 120 on the autobahn once. Took a long time.

    That's a whole different story.

Just not an adjective I'd use for that speed.
Wife and I watched a live car chase on YouTube that started on the west side of Houston, on I10 and ended outside of Port Author. Driver was driving stolen Hellcat Challenger! He was going fast enough to outrun police and news helicopters!

Y'all a bunch of criminals. I always obey the posted speed limits.
Speed is one of the perks of the job...

Doing a funeral escort for an officer and I'll have some LONG stretches of closed highway and will have it PINNED I can promise as I make my way back to the front to block more roads.

I have seen instances of excessive speeding that was stupid and posed a risk to other drivers. Weaving in and out of traffic while going 40 mph faster is asking for a serious accident that can do serious damage to the others on the road.

I'm sure there's plenty of drivers who've called me an asshole for various things. I would imagine most are the self-righteous lane defenders camped in the left lane, I find my way around them and some become a bit animated when they "lose."

    What makes them an arsehole?

Well, besides the fact that you're a Liberal so if you don't want to do it nobody can.
The thing that makes the people who drive 161 mph on a highway arseholes is their total disregard for the safety of others who are using that same road. Speeding is the number two cause of accidents in this country and is the one of the leading causes of fatal accidents.
