    Before I was diagnosed with celiac...Having had both the famous NY pizza and NY bagels, I didn’t really see what the fuss was about.

    Especially the super thin crust pizza with a thimble’s worth of cheese and watery sauce.

    Not hardly. We can criticize the city of New York for plenty of legit reasons but their tap water isn't one of them. It's super high quality. In fact, lots of bottled water companies use it. The saga of how the city secured its sources of drinking water is a fascinating study in the use of political power. Seriously, setting up a municipal water supply might sound like a boring subject but the way it was done in New York City makes for a page-turner of a story.
