Was cruising the net last night, looking to see if I could find something of interest (with 60+ 1911's in the collection, finding something different enough to be of interest is getting harder to do). As it happens, I own a Wiley Clapp that I picked up in Dallas about 8 years ago, and really enjoy shooting it - so when I saw "Rare WC", I was mildly interested - since they ARE kinda hard to find.
Clicked on the link......Sweet Baby Haysus - it's a WC all right - in SS! NOT the Talo-distributed one, but one of six pre-production models (and verified with a Colt letter). Those VERY seldom make it out to the public....so, yeah - it's headed my way, and should be here by the first of next week.
