Or better yet where have they been dumping them in Texas?

Over at the AK Files guys have been posting where there are a bunch of groups being moved into their neighborhoods and closing down the streets to do so.

    WTF is going on?

I'm suspecting people reacted without actually doing any research on what was happening.

A little quick Googling showed that they reconfigured I-15 in this area, closed a freeway ramp, and where the street used to be is now terminated in a cul-de-sac. Since the street is still platted, probably, they need to officially close it to reclaim the land it used to sit on for building.

As to the purpose of the building and the areas of resettlement, that's a local issue for local discussion.

They've got to go somewhere, and I'd personally prefer to give them the most welcoming location we can so their experience is good and they're more likely to see value in our country vs. putting them in the ghetto and exposing them to our criminal element, giving them a reason to hate us.

The AK files is full of the most paranoid shit stains of gun owners, IMO. They are the track marks of the underwear. Anything they panic about is usually overblown nothingness lol.

Funny how people do that a lot on forums, this forum included. This is also how worthless information gets passed around and taken as gospel. Thanks for providing the context that was not provided. I should probably post this in the Things That Annoy Me thread.

Although that may be true they do not leave any stone un-turned. So you have to be good at sorting through what one may find to be worth reading into further. The refugee infiltration into the US is one I find to be important and scary.

Mods please move this thread if necessary thank you.

I would prefer they go to somewhere else. In Saudi, they go to refugee camps until their identity can be verified. Once that happens they can apply to get a resident visa or a work visa. They have to be sponsored by a Saudi.

I completely agree with you, but there comes a point when it's entirety is all the worst qualities of all the people that TGT has banned, but in one person, and then take that one person and make a whole forum of them.

and give them free food, housing and phones so they can buy pressure cookers and murder women and children at a marathon.

I am very pro-immigration. I believe as a nation of immigrants we should welcome those who want to be a part of our great nation. One of my former employees in India was fortunate enough to come over on a visa and is close to attaining his citizenship. He is a good family man who, while he worked for me, probably saved a project from blowing up.

What I hate about the refugee discussion and the illegal immigrant discussion is that the Left are not having an honest discussion about what is going on.

We cannot have open borders and welfare at the same time. That will destroy a nation.

Likewise, I cannot turn a blind eye to what is happening in Europe. Terrorists and invaders are using the humanitarian tendencies of the West to do a slow motion invasion. We cannot simply throw open our doors and ignore the wolves coming in with the sheep. Our security and our people should always come first. The US does more for the world than any other nation. We give more, we have, even when laws are enforced, the most liberal immigration policies of any nation, and no one does as much for humanitarian crisises when disaster hits.

I sleep fine at night without virtue signalling and allowing a bunch of potential terrorists into our country just so I can make myself look good at parties.

I hate our restrictive policies towards our neighbors to the south, but amnesty is not a solution. We need to find a better way, we need to explore a path to citizenship, but we also need to enforce existing laws and shut down the money flow which is why they keep coming here.

We would be a healthier country and able to do more for non-citizens if we would stop turning a blind eye to our own self-inflicted problems.

Written by a progressive and Georgist. I bet even she would say no to taking in military aged males from a place we are at war with.

I'm pro right to travel and free association so I think people have the right to move anywhere they want, but it is immoral to force others to pay for their move and to put them on welfare as soon as they get here.

I can't find that anywhere in the Constitution or Bill of Rights.
