CDF, that's the setup I imagine myself having as I don't have a lot of space.
I am envious of those members who have a large amount of space but most of us must work with what we have available.
At least I now have enough working space to do the job at hand since I started using the stackable containers. It was almost impossible to get anything accomplished in an organized fashion before. IMO, stackable containers are the key if you are short on space.
Since I am still somewhat restricted on space, I generally don't bother bolting down the 4" vise since it weighs over 60lbs and I occasionally need to move it for the extra room. If I need the vise for a high torque situation, I just throw 3 bolts through the previously drilled holes and I am good to go.
I personally find a vise to be a worthwhile addition to the workbench as long as it doesn't get in the way.
