I made a post in another thread that the M&P pistons were not reliable and I based that on some observations from shooting IDPA.
I went out and asked around and several of the guys shooting the M&Ps had good things to say about them and it caused me to take a 3nd look.
What I found was that the M&P has some unique features that warranted a 2nd look.
for the left handed shooter is is probably the best designed firearm on the market. The slide release is ambidextrous. The mag release is reversible and he grip inserts allow the grip to be configured for the individual shooters hand.
Trigger jobs appear to be available to lighten and tighten the fire control group.
The M&P can be had with a threaded barrel and a thumb safety.
Magazines can be had for around $25.00.
The only real negative hat I have heard is that some M&Ps had broken their barrels in a police deparment.
