I would number your mags, then have a paint pen handy when you happen to shoot. Get an ftf? Tic mark. Get 2 or 3, mag goes in the trash.
Just buy some good Pmags, number them and shoot. A good maker's mags work in ARs, the mags are proven.
Finally, glad you are visiting Mom. Hope you and my sister hit it off...she needs a nice guy in her life.
or put one of the double fire triggers in it to try out the best mags under real serious circumstances. I set on the couch and watch some news and cycle all my new weapons many times before they ever see real ammo. I think it saves me probably 200.00 on each one. The mags come later, pushing the follower down with a wooden pusher saves lots of scratched up ammo but the feed lips can be checked with a custom made gauge to show any anomaly before wasting ammo also you can judge the lips by the way the bolt rubs on their edges. Ammo has gotten so expensive a little common sense on prechecks can save a lot of money. When I started converting good ar's to pistons and adj gas blocks the cycling got a little trickier and followers got to be more important to me it seemed. If I were in the same position to test them I'd try to have some fun with it and run a mad minute drill. If you have a mag that hiccups, toss it aside. If the gun starts choking after several rounds at least you knew before you were betting your life on it. I love a good mag dump on occasion. Even better when you can keep it on target !
Never had any issue with them being loaded with 30 and working fine.Does anyone actually ever have an issue with a brand new PMag?
They hold 30, I store them with 30.
Bought 3 PMags for AR-9.
All 3 have problems even loading them, can load maybe 15 rounds and then they jam, can’t press down to load any more.
One is better, two are really bad, won’t even unload (thumbing rounds out) evenly, with the spring jamming and not pushing the rounds right to the top.
Are there fake PMags out there?

Yes they are PMag Glock mags.
Ah well, I know now that they are rubbish!
Have ordered a couple of genuine Glock 17rd mags, hopefully they will be ok.
Thanks all!
