How in the heck does a half ton truck use something like this?
    Isn't this overkill?
I'm assuming that hitch with braces has around 18-20k limit

Someone’s a ray of sunshine today. Jk
Im just stating the obvious, not trying to be happy or or overtly negative..sometimes others peoples poor judgment causes harm to others.

So IF..and I mean IF..because I don't know his reasoning..but if he put a small excavator or something like a 8500 lb skid steer on a 20 ft flatbed and towed it with that half ton truck..that would not likely be safe..I don't know about legal..but if he lost control of that in traffic on I35..someone besides him is gonna likely be harmed or even killed.

So it may be "on him" as you say..but it will be a hell of a price to pay if he killed someone

Or he knows what he’s doing and went overkill on the hitch just because.

I had a nice hitch on my Titan that was rated for 12k. Full well knowing I’d never go beyond 7. It was a nice quality set up.

He could be about nice quality.

Plenty of people do dumb stuff on the road everyday that can kill people. But you know what saves lives? Talking about it on tgt. I’m kidding. I really do enjoy you.
