Another win in federal court by Judge Renee Marie Bumb (Bush appointment) against NJ's latest anti-carry laws from the Armed Attorneys channel. Temporary injunction ban stopping enforcement a portion of law.

And this is exactly why we left NJ. Any pro 2A action gets met with fierce resistance at all costs. They will gladly spend taxpayer dime to bend that same taxpayer over. That state doesn’t care about freedom or even quality of life for that matter. When asked about taxes Murphy said right upfront, “If you don’t like high taxes, NJ isn’t the state for you.” Not even a Bs political response of trying to control them etc. It’s a disgrace.

    Totally unfair analogy.

    Sausage provides sustenance.

    Politics takes it away.

Watching the pigs fight at the trough & wallow in shit would be a better comparison.

    Except the pigs smell better.

The anti-gun pols in NJ snuck one by everyone in their latest gun ban efforts reported by ammoland.com

When Governor Murphy and the New Jersey Democrats rushed a flurry of gun laws through the legislature last June of 2022, one of the laws rammed through was under the guise of banning guns with no serial numbers.

This law banned millions of rifles, shotguns, handguns, hunting guns, target shooting guns, military surplus guns, and virtually ALL muzzleloaders, black powder guns, antique guns, air guns and BB guns.

Can you pass the NJ 'John Wick (or Det John Mcclane) Concealed Carry Permit Qualifying Standards course of fire?

The Truth about Guns blog has a breakdown of what's required.

New Jersey’s new CCW qualification standards have been criticized for being too high, too rigid and too much like a police qualification course. The critics are right. This is nothing but a decades-old police qualification course revamped and repackaged for civilians.

New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin and his state police sycophants want to hold gun owners to a far higher standard than those who exercise other constitutional rights.

New development is this training requirement.

The Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs has some good news . . .

After extensive discussions with ANJRPC, the State of New Jersey has issued revised carry training requirements addressing nearly all gun owner objections and concerns. The newly revised requirements eliminated any demonstration of tactical maneuvers, eliminated a demonstration of shooting proficiency at 25 yards, significantly extended the compliance date for current permit holders to requalify, and eliminated inappropriate content from the use of force instructional materials.

Read article for more details how the training proficiency test will be conducted.

p.s. not so keen on stock image photo from article using a Serpa holster on range. If one is not trained sufficiently one can stick finger into trigger guard {before getting on target} during draw to affect release of gun. Not cool.

Read more at Bearing Arms blog about the 3,000% increase in concealed gun permits which debunks an anti-2A screed.

New Jersey didn't see a 3,000, 300, or even 30 percent increase in gun-related crimes after its "may issue" laws went away. The state is the safest it's been in decades, all while tens of thousands of gun owners are now carrying for self-defense.

Admitting that crime went down when it should have spiked would be bad for Everytown's business,. Instead the group ignores the data that disproves their contentions and hopes that they can dupe credulous voters into blindly accepting their claims.

New Jersey's the perfect proving ground for their premise; a state where almost no one could carry a gun in public now has more than 34,000 people "packing heat" on the streets of Trenton, Newark, Jersey City, and Camden. That's a recipe for disaster, according to the gun control stalwarts. In reality, it's a non-issue.

After churning the numbers, an interesting fact popped up. More than 50% of the permit to carry denials post-Bruen were based on subjective standards.
