    It usually takes a fire or multiple deaths/accidents before anyone recalls a model. Years ago they buried the evidence with events like Chevy trucks and Pintos It's not unique to Ford. Daughter owns our 2013 Honda which had a fire recall due to road salt getting into the battery sensor. We have a 2016 Mazda with a fire recall due to a faulty fuel shutoff valve.

    Hmmm....took my 94 F150 to the dealership because the front end was bouncing and locking and unlocking so I wanted a diagnosis.

    Don't know if it had anything to do with the problem (they said it was a loose shock), but they put a new sensor on the master cylinder.

    I hadn't had the truck long, but apparently the previous owners had ignored the recall notices.
