I remember all of the shows mentioned above, but my favorites were:

    1) GI Joe (even though they never killed any Cobra...WTF? Parachutes every time-really?)
    2) A-Team (A good guy is a good guy, even if the law dogs are after you!!!! RIGHT is RIGHT!!!!)
    3) MASH (see *)

*Hard to reconcile. As a kid, first time I saw grown males in my family tear up a little. Sorry for getting so sappy, but I was very privileged to grow up knowing some GREAT men who had given so much to our country. One who had to live in a trailer outside his home for several years after coming home to make sure he didn't hurt his family if he woke up with very bad dreams (3 very hot tours in Nam). Every time I think about that show it makes me want to do more for those around me. It makes me want to be a better man, and it makes me appreciate the power of the vote over the power of the gun.

MacGyver. Who eles can get a plane take off with a log as the front wheel using a muddy trench for lubrication. Though I do not recall them showing how they landed.

Yup! And Timex was the main sponsor. Who was the Timex guy? John Cameron Swayzee? (I know I spelled that wrong.) "We're going to fasten this Timex watch to a fan blade on this F-18 engine and see what happens. Alright! Kick in the afterburners! Hey! It took a licking and kept on ticking!"
