Maverick44
Youngest old man on TGT.
I usually keep them even if I don't shoot them that often. I VERY rarely shoot by Swiss Vetterli because ammo is a PITA to make and the gun is a PITA to clean the BP out of. I wouldn't sell it though because it's old, cool, and is a blast to shoot when I do shoot it.
I've only ever sold/traded 6 guns.
CZ-52 - Couldn't get it to shoot worth a damn, sold it at a loss to a collector.
Mossberg 500 18.5" - I got stupid lucky and won it in a penny auction. I paid less than $40 for it including shipping and a transfer fee. I didn't care for the tacticool stock on it, and didn't really have that much fun shooting it. I'm not a shotgun guy. I traded it for a S&W SW40VE.
S&W SW40VE - had less of a soul than the Mossberg, had a shitty trigger, and I just didn't care for it. I don't think I had it for more than a few months. Sold it and bought the Swiss Vetterli.
H&R Victor - I bought it cheap. The trigger wasn't great and the ammo was non existent (32 S&W short). It amused me how tiny it was, but I just never felt like getting the stuff to load for it. Now, I'm not going to say it wasn't a well made gun. From what I could tell, it was just fine and the fit and finish were decent. I will say that the design itself was very Saturday night special like. I never shot the thing once. I sold it for what I paid for it.
German K98 Mauser action - Was going to build a custom rifle with it, but I never got around to doing it. Sold it to a guy that had a similar idea to mine. It would probably still just be sitting in the back corner of the safe had I not sold it.
PPS-43C - This is the only one I regret. This thing was cool as hell and I had plans to go through the NFA process and have it converted into a SBR. I sold it and bought a Lee Enfield No.4 Mk1*. That Enfield is one of my favorite guns, but damn I miss that little PPS.
I will probably sell my Taurus M66 once I get around to getting it fixed and replace it with either a S&W or a Ruger, but that's it.
