Years for a sidearm. Last spring for someone carrying an AR up and down the street at night. Guy's truck had been vandalized 3 times in a month and everyone in the neighborhood including the police knew who did it, just no proof. Between his and the police presence they decided to try elsewhere and got caught.
None that I have seen, but not afraid of my shirt pulling up, and someone seeing mine.
If something is happening in the neighborhood, either my pistol, or a shotgun, or one of my ARs is on display.
To do it all the time, like to go grocery shopping, or a trip to the mall, I don't.
Kind of like putting firearm decals all over your vehicle, just asking to get jumped in a parking lot.
I've only seen 2 people open carry ever. First guy was riding a motorcycle next to me down in Houston 5 years ago, the other was at a ham radio club function about 8 years ago.
Saw two guys OC'N while the Wife and I were having dinner at Phil's Roadhouse in Montgomery yesterday afternoon. We were in there early (@ 1630 hrs.), and there were only 5 or 6 tables occupied.at the time. Not unusual, don't think I've ever been in there when someone wasn't OC'N. BTW - Phil's is a great place to eat - their brisket is amazing!!!
