All original 1943 USAAF B-15 cotton/rayon shell with mouton collar and alpaca/wool lining.

The waist and cuffs are in OK condition and still serviceable.

Sized as a 38, it fits very large and I (a fit 6' 210) can wear it and usually wear a medium or large sizes.

It is a really amazing jacket and the shoulder roundrels are still easy to read.

Here is a bit of history of this model of flight jacket which superceded the B-10

$800 will consider offers and trades

    That's so sad.

My dad took that to the grave with him no doubt. Having that gear with the units artwork was a huge moral booster & gave those guys a sense of pride. I bought him a nose art book and it talked about the destruction of the nose art after the plans were scapped. IIRC Brown & Root had a big collection of the nose artwork.

Like so much of what really is important our government just destroys. The removal of statues really pisses me off. All because those that didn't participate feel like the destructions & removal makes them equal. We really are pretty much pouched as a country.

Sweet jacket. My fishing buddy Pat is a former Vietnam chopper pilot- shot down 4 times/ 4-purple hearts, gold star & Chief Master Sgt. and he'd love that...if it were only smaller. 86 and still launches his boat on his own= total badass.

I'm had it for a number of years and enjoyed it, but I'm trying to get some other toys.

Its is wearable condition and super warm!

If I can swing my purchase in a week or so without selling, I'll likely withdrawal this from sale early April

Heres a general history of American flight jackets:
