Considering what just happened, what’s your way to reduce or stop “mass shootings” besides armed security/teachers. I’m excluding this because it’s probably the most logical and obvious way. Let me know.

Just the most obvious one. Armed security and whatnot. I want to know if there is any other solutions to this.

The issue is larger and goes far beyond a simple solution. These people who do these things have generational perversion. They are sick. They have not ever been held accountable for their actions from birth and their parents were probably never held accountable as well. They grew up with violence and perversion playing full time on their TV screens and in their living rooms. Don't like something, kill it. Don't like someone, kill them.

Fix the generational perversion and you'll fix the school shootings.

Where the hell does an 18 year old get enough money to go down and buy those guns? That's the problem. You know damn good and well he didn't work for it.

Then his solution to life is to kill grandma and a bunch of kids... If that's not perversion I really don't want to know what is.

Once again, his tracks are all over social media....... crickets..... then gunfire.

You’re asking such a thing from a society that text while driving, helped make fidget spinners a craze, and thinks it’s ok to let druggies shoot up with government aid.

Society is too retarded to fix this.
There’s a lot of crap that is too retarded for society to fix, unfortunately :/

The only way to stop “mass shootings” is to kill the person before it becomes a “mass shooting”. There is no reason for me to think I, or anyone else can prevent a psychopath from carrying out a crime. Instead, I do my best to protect myself in the event that I am in the vicinity of one when it occurs. I recommend others do the same instead of just waiting around for some magic solution that just makes it stop.

That being said, I do believe that the attention we give to these criminals makes other people more likely to commit similar crimes.

Sorry, but that blame game doesn't work either. Many of us grew up in a generation of watching violent action movies and TV programs and the cartoons on Saturday morning. And rock and roll. We didn't become mass killers. Hell, many of us already had guns long before we were 18, and some of us even carried guns in our vehicles to school in gun racks in our vehicles sitting right in the parking lot, and it Never occurred to us to go and shoot up a school.

Want to play the blame game? Then put it where it belongs. I'd say the parents of these mass shooters carry a larger share of that burden because of the way they raised their children, or a lack there of. Parents wanted to disconnect themselves from their children's lives because they were too busy with their own things to instead be parents, or they tried to be their children's "friend" instead of being a parent.

If someone goes on a spree killing because of a movie, or TV program, or a song they listened to, they were already seriously phucked up in the head long before that point.

doors stay locked...interior and exterior at all times. Public entrances especially. No exceptions. escorted at entry point if some parent or delivery needs entry. And escorted back out.

Armed select staff. Preferably with long guns (secured) they can get to. This is perhaps the most difficult part as it requires dedication, training, and willing to assume the liability. Not to mention the problems with staffing shortages, calling in sick, substitutes, field trips, etc, etc.

the above are doable at minimum expense. There will still be lapses and failures as the best laid plans of mice and men will certainly come into play.

Well, my personal solution is that I will be at our Elementary and High School at 7:00 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday (last day of school). I'll walk the outside and check that the doors are locked. I'll practice situational awareness and stay in contact with Admin and LE if I see anything... I won't be armed, just like I wasn't armed my whole career... Just ready to put myself between my kids and Evil...

Well, that's what the problem is and that has to be fixed or we're going to be dealing with this shit for a long time to come, AND we'll be dealing with it unarmed. Our "leaders" will see to that.

    We shall agree to disagree.

I’ve got a piece of paper on the wall that requires me to protect and defend it so long as I am alive.
