I don't care in the least except when they are surrounded by hot chicks. That I just don't understand.

Women should want a man. Must be a closet lesbian thing or something.

But whatever. As long as my daughters don't try to bring them home for dinner.

My girls have brought home a few. They were terrified of me. IMO, for no apparent reason. I was nice to them, engaged them in conversation and talked to them about guns. My guns. That I love to shoot.

I think the no strong male role model may be accurate. I find it amusing that my girls don't take them very serious. "There aren't guys like you anymore dad."

Well, none that spend all day at Starbucks.

    Gunz are icky.
Those type of guys are often seen around attractive women.
Me thinks they are friends with the hotties because the hotties do not sense sexual tension from these very weak beta males.
So the hotties relax and just friendzone the ever living shit out of them. There is no sexual threat.
    Hottie is in control.
Same same with the gay dudes. No sexual threat so everybody chills and acts like friends do, all goofy and friendly.

This has to be an issue with no strong male influence. I wouldn't be caught dead dressing and acting like I didn't have a set of balls, not to mention my dad would kick my ass if I walked in like that. Anytime I see a guy my age dressing like this I just don't consider him a true man. Is that wrong of me? Maybe so, but I was taught to act, work, look, and carry myself like a man because that is what I am.

You only get ONE chance to make a FIRST impression, and this is not the way to accomplish a good impression. I'm all for being an individual, but if you are meeting a girl's parents (father especially), or interviewing for a job, hell doing anything in public where some mild form of dignity is required this is not the way to go about it.

"Guys" these days really need a lesson in manhood, it irritates me that this is becoming the idea that older generations now have of my generation. Maybe I was just born too late, but I strongly try to avoid any association with the whining millennial crap. Too many lazy complaining kids these days, get off your ass and work like the older generations and quit worrying about being everybody's damn friend.

Sorry for the rant or if I offended anyone, just how I feel.

    Yup.

I'm gonna stick with my boots, jeans, and T shirt.

Course, I'm not sure what will happen when it gets to be the uncool thing some misguided group starts wearing to let everyone know they are not part of any group.

Until then, I'll just keep looking like I walked off a mountain top somewhere.

I'm right behind you there. Thank goodness for urban dictionary. Otherwise I wouldn't know what half these terms or abbreviations are.

But just to make it interesting, if everyone had to pick one for their daughter to date, would it be this post hipster type or the sagging britches type?

Post-hipster. Most of them can be saved, while the crotch-at-the-knees crowd isn't worth the time of day, since most of them have no interest in being anything other than hood rats.

This is coming from someone who knows a few of the "post-hipster"/girly-man crowd, and to date has gotten a handful interested in shooting, hunting, etc etc. They're annoying as hell at first, but they -can- be brought around. Might take a couple dozen headslaps though, so bring padded gloves.

There's some guys on here with the "post-hipster" thing going. Doesn't bother me any. Not the way I swing - whatever. Several know more about modern guns than I do. Ask Angelia about the knee-crotch guys - those guys bother me.

Well, WTF is it?, cause I refuse to Google it. I don't want it on my record at NSA.

I do, however find this thread a bit disturbing as I think some of you have a man crush on him.
Or her, or whatever it is.

I'll wear a button down shirt for work when they ask nicely and pay me enough. But otherwise, yeah.
