Hey everybody,

Just moved to Houston from Colorado. Looking forward to learning the area and finding new ranges and gun stores.

I've been a firearms enthusiast for about 6 years, and I'm completely self taught. My parents weren't so cool about the "gun thing" so I had to learn on my own

I'm mostly a pistol guy(range and self defense) but I'm looking to get my first AR.

I'm also interested in attending some sort of formal or informal matches. USPSA, IDPA, 3 Gun. I'm not sure if I'll ever compete, but I would like to see what they are like.
