Howdy folks! Just figured that ya'll would be interested to know that a new gun store opened just outside of Bryan! Great little place and a whole lot closer and friendlier that the other stores in the area! Its called "The Great Texas Gun Company" on Hwy 21 East of Bryan...
The proprietor is super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! I encourage anyone in the area to stop by for a cup of coffee sometime and check it out!

Just as a side note: No, I do not have anything to do with the store other than having become a patron, so I think that this post is within forum rules as it is not an advertisement for services that I provide.... If I am wrong about this please feel free to delete/move this posting...

How far out of Bryan? And what side of the road, and is it right on the highway?
Right next to Metal Mart across from Coulter Field. Heading East it's on the left right where the turn lane ends and the median begins. Nice place with nice folks. Haven't done any business with them though the prices seemed good.

William Farris is the primary (sole?) proprietor. Really nice guy.
If you are heading east on 21, pull into the 'turn lane' right where it ends without running into the grass. He has a HUGE sign on the building so it is really hard to miss!
He is willing to match or beat any other local price if he at all can. I just picked up my new Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Mag from him yesterday! He beat Champions final price by about $25! He also said that he will do FFL transfers for $15!
There is a coffee pot in there and its a lot like a hometown general store where folks stop in just to chat for a minute. So, even if you don't need anything at the moment, stop in and say Howdy!

I just went in the other day, I have to agree with everyone else and say, that they are friendly, knowledgeable and have prices that can't be beat in Bryan/College Station. I will be going back as soon as possible; I would not hesitate to conduct business with these fine folks!

I visited there yesterday and it seemed like a nice bunch of people. I made a small purchase and expect to make more. I have not reloaded in a number of years for various reasons but plan to get active again soon. Still looking for some of the boxes but that will be done soon.

I pass this info on to my daugther at TAMU. She is always looking for a neat gun shop to take me to when I visit. Will be out there in June. She left GA and has found a home in CS/Bryan, never to come back to this heckhole. I'll see ya'll in June.

I've now purchased several rifles from them including an amazing deal a S&W M&P-15/22. I can't speak well enough of this place.

Previously I had spent several thousand dollars ($4k just a 18 month span) in another local gun shop before TGTC opened and dealt with their poor customer service and holier than thou attitude from the owner's wife and other employees. As long as Mr. Farris is in business I will be a loyal customer, and I wish him great success.
