I just read on texas CHL that Applebee's Texas HQ is having 30.06 and 30.07 posted at all locations. Sure enough, a few min later, I get an email notification that the Copperas Cove Applebee's has posted. Thier food sucks anyways, but it's still not good.

Applebees is the kind of place I can sit and look at the menu forever and not order
Dont like the food nor anything about the place

I guess it's hipster food because I don't get it.

Regarding the food quality, things must have changed from the good ole days! I ran a Friday night tennis mixer for 17 years, up until about 2007. For at least 10 of those years, our crew would visit the local Applebee's and take over their patio, eating, drinking and hanging out from about 9:15 til ???. Yeah, it's not gourmet food; but was pretty good 'bar' food and the drinks and beers were as you would find in any similar establishment. Of the 56 people who played each week in the round robin, a good 30-35 would go out to eat each week. We had plenty of options; but except for the occasional foray into a pizza or Mexican place, Applebee's was the crowd favorite. Things changed considerably when the restaurant closed in their patio to increase indoor seating, meaning our party of well-exercised tennis players couldn't enjoy our 'own' dining area, having to mingle with folks who were dressed for a Friday night out. We sought out other venues; but Applebee's really filled the bill for quite a few years! From what I read here, perhaps their food quality has gone down...shame about that AND the 30.06 posting!

Seems Applebee's and IHOP are under the same corporate umbrella, with all Applebee's locations as franchises. I wonder if any franchisee will 'buck the system' and forget to post the signs. ;)

Could not care less. They're over packed with fat-assed soccer mommies slobbering down their $10 margaritas after a long week of managing their equally fat and out of control kids. I'm sure the privately owned and operated restaurants will enjoy the uptick in business from the bloated chain restaurants kicking us out.

Meh. The place is for families that want to eat while watching TVs on the walls, playing video games on tablets Applebees puts on the table, and generally avoid having to be a family while walking out with a grossly overpriced bill for "Gourmet" food made by a third rate cook reading off a list of laminated recipes. The bartenders at the one closest to me are the rudest service industry employees I've EVER seen and everyone else agrees with me. And their water tastes moldy.

If I want to eat crappy food while watching tv and avoiding my family, I can do it at home for a lot less. I can probably even get authentic moldy water if I try. They're not exactly driving a hard bargain here.

Oh man I hope this turns into a hilarious Applebees review thread. Because that's a great start.
