Boyert Shooting Center in Katy has remodeled and had a grand reopening on the 12th of September. It's a two story building, much bigger and better now.

They had a cobra attack helicopter fly down and land outside. Probably drew an even bigger crowd.

I went to Saddle River Range off of 1488 last night. Very nice and friendly. Allows rapid fired. Asked for my stamp for my suppressor. But their rates are a bit high;

Walk-in Range Fees
Peak (Mon-Fri after 4pm & weekends)
$20/shooter per hour, additional shooter on shared lane - $13

Off Peak (Mon-Fri, open-3pm)
$15/shooter per hour, additional shooter on shared lane - $10

I went to Saddle River Range off of 1488 last night...

I think I'm done going to SGA for shooting. A newer (4 months? now) RO just told me to "put one second between double taps." Told him "that's not a double tap than." He responded with; "Than its rapid fire and I'll ask you to leave." Ok... Bye. Looks like I'll be going to Saddle River from now on. They allow "rapid fire." This same RO constantly telling me to slow down. Whether pistol or rifle. Kinda upset with this because I've built a good relationship with Jimmy who does with all the NFA items. Anyhow... /rant

Kind of strange if you realize they rent FA guns, but I understand why.

Totally understand that. And I have been using SGA since returning from Iraq in Aug '13 regularly. And I have completed true double taps and two to the chest, one to the head drills without issues. See the first attached video where I've ask the RO to due a mag dump. And as you even mentioned you can rent full-auto firearms (see attached second video). But this one RO is ALWAYS following me and making a comment toward me. Once he told me to slow down because the manager could hear my SBR. So I attached my can. None-the-less... I'm no longer using their range while that RO is working. And since I don't no he's schedule and Saddle River allows true rapid fire (see third video) I will be going to them. Oh and when I asked the Saddle River RO if I could do a mag dump, he looked at me weird and said; "Yes. We'll have full-auto shortly for rental so why couldn't you?" I chuckle and said thanks.

SGA's new indoor range at the Woodlands location is open now, and from what I hear it's pretty dang nice.
