By the video I don't see any way that case being made. I think the cop just got it wrong. The guy dove up fast and close to the cop, right there that would raise a red flag to me, then jumps quickly out of his truck and a gun sailed out at the same time making it not impossible the cop could of believed that the guy fumbled the gun as he was jumping out to confront the cop. I can believe the cop thought he saw something, I mean it's not impossible and our brains do fill in gaps, but the video just doesn't match the account.

The officer had been inside the store, & was leaving when the dude pulled in behind him, if I am not mistaken.
He did not follow the officer into the parking lot, as it appears from the video.

In this case, seeing that the officer and he had no interaction prior to what the video shows, I'll go out on a limb and say the LEO screwed this one up pretty bad.

I agree. The video backs up the suspect's story.

I don't see cop bashing here. I see an individual who happens to wear a uniform while on duty getting ridicule he deserves.

The video tells a different story than the officer - and this is kind of my fear, since the LEO is always going to win a "he said-he said" competition, even with the video this guy has a high bar to clear his name.

This one has me perplexed and conflicted.

I am not perplexed and conflicted, the officer lied, and made a false arrest and probably a false report. He should be fired and jailed. Without video, this guy would be going to jail and forever be a felon.
