I think Dawico is correct here, this budget bill will only be good until September (I think). Then the whole thing is back up for negotiation. Let's see what happens then, that's when the true colors will come out.

Your choice was Trump or Hillary. Your choice was a chance to turn the country around or watch the Constitution generally and the 2nd Amendment specifically disintegrate before your eyes. I don't know what you did or didn't say during the election or what was or was not said back to you because of it, but in the heat of an existential battle that must be won in order to survive to fight another day, you don't focus on undermining your side's general.

There was and is plenty to criticize Trump about but there is also a time and place for it, and during the campaign against Hillary is not that time or place.

And you still might. It depends on if Trump has a bad night or not, what he'll say the next day.

Trump has been a dem and Republican back and forth quite a bit, that and his kids are all pro-choice blah blah.

So yes, he might be a centrist. It is concerning that he walks back on his words, this current bill, and his ultimate lack of good judgment (you can do away with PC without acting like a child).

As mentioned, Gorsuch was a huge win.

What we do have to remember, are 2 things:

He didn't become rich by being stupid. He's a pretty dang sharp marketing guru and business man, and a lot of his methodology is probably not understood.

Based on that, he's also a negotiator. We knew going in that we'd have to take some losses in order to grab the big wins. With him losing 100% of his legislative bills, it's probably time for him to appear to give up some slack.

Just my 0.02. I was always a little leery of him in the primaries, but when it came down to the general, I had to back him. I would take Putin over Hillary. Especially after seeing his calendar.

Life is all about choices and throughout life there are situations where every choice has a negative (evil). To attempt to base an argument on the fact that a lesser evil is still an evil is to argue that there is another option which doesn't exist in the reality of the world we live in. This apples whether we are discussing politics or medical treatments, and anything in between.

The left is reeling, that's a win. We aren't apologizing to terrorists, that's a win. We are holding SCOTUS, that's a win.

And honestly, the problem isn't the government. The government doesn't fix anything even if they do the right things. The problem is in the communities. Fix the communities and everything else will fall in to place.
