Texas Gun Rights - Your Help Is Needed Now

Call to action - if you believe in the 2nd amendment, and the rights of Texans to keep and bear arms without a government permission slip, Texas needs you. Currently, House Bill 1911 is stuck in Calendars with Chairman Todd Hunter having the sole ability to put it on the schedule for a vote on the house floor. Without it being scheduled for a vote in the next 6 days, it will die in this session.

If you are a true supporter of the Constitution and 2nd amendment, please call Chairmen Hunter at 512.463.0672 and tell him your support of the bill and wish for it to be scheduled on the floor for a vote. They will ask your name, city, and zip code. Takes literally 45 seconds. Thanks for helping Texans get back our rights.

It's dead guys, according to those in the know. Pretty much needed to get scheduled by the end of the day yesterday.
Put support behind SB1408 (first responders carry bill) and SB349 (defines "educational institutions" as schools and secondary schools: zoos/museums/etc. couldn't claim to be educational institutions anymore, and defines school sponsored events that are off limits as school owned property).

No, I think SB1408 is a bullshit bill. Continuing "carve outs" for special classes of special people acting specially isn't good policy, IMO. If Texas is going to continue to play Democrat games because most of the idiots with "R" next to their names are actually "D", then everyone needs to play by the same rules.
