Not wanting to search through the entire thread, I found this video of the car incident from another angle interesting. If you slow it down, or just watch it a few times, you can see many, I repeat many, baseball bats in the crowd through which the car plowed. Most of the other photos and videos on MSM show only a few bats, but you can plainly see that this group was armed pretty well with deadly weapons.

I agree. Even what you see on a camera never reveals everything about a case. But if he has enough money, he MAY get a fair trial.

Over the last 10 years, I have learned to NOT trust the media, at all. What we see is likely not everything to be seen.

The jury selected also has an effect on it. They could be sympathetic to his situation and refuse to convict of capital murder.

There are lots of different directions this could go. Assuming he gets the death penalty is a bit premature, especially since there hasn't even been a Grand Jury yet.

I am always amazed at the people that show up at those rallies. NOTHING GOOD happens there, yet people show up. Wonder if they are expecting bad things? Or just there to make sure bad things happen?

The only certain thing is that those people deserve each other.

There are white "supremists" and white "separatists". Randy Weaver was of the latter category. I don't think there is a law or anything in the Constitution that mandates that you have to love any certain group of people, or have to live, mingle, or otherwise have anything to do with them. There has been very little mentioned in the media about the fact that there were many that showed up armed and armored to oppose those that actually had a permit to demonstrate.

Now I myself am opposed to the ideology of the KKK, white supremacists, nazi's and skin heads, but being Americans they are also protected under the constitution. I don't really know how this guy got to where he was in his car or what happened leading up to when he plowed into the crowd. I don't think that there was cause for him to plow into the crowd at the speed he was going, but I also don't know if he had intent to kill anyone.

As far as terrorism goes, many things can cause terror in someone, but I had always considered terrorism as a planned attack often well thought out.

It doesn't say anything about a planning requirement, however, the "in pursuit of political aims" part certainly causes many to plan.

Further...can you really say that, if getting his car batted was really the cause of his rampage, it was terrorism? I don't think so. Now, if it was truly planned, that would make me think it could have been terrorism.

But, once again, we'll have these progressive types twisting and turning definitions around so who knows...maybe it will end up being terrorism. Maybe tomorrow pissing on the toilet seat will be defined as terrorism too.
