Sorry Vaquero, but the linking arms bit is like giving all of us the finger. The players are the one's being divisive. If the players want to show unity then just stand there with your hand over your heart and pay proper respect.
I am a long time Packers fan and did not turn the game on at all last night.
Yes. I have been a Packer fan since the 60's I as well did not watch the longest running NFL rivalry. I will not support or "link arms" with those that feel it ok to disrespect our flag or country in public. I did not know him personally, but I have a hunch Coach Lombardi would have taken a stand more along the line of Richard Petty.

Posing a question. IF the television “watch” numbers are truly down tomorrow (Sunday), do you think we’ll hear about it on MSM (or will it not be mentioned)?
Maybe it will be ignored by MSM until or unless it becomes a distinct long term trend? (Of course, my question assumes those “tuning out” represents large enough numbers to get the league’s attention).

No, the networks will not cover the down viewership nor will they show empty seats. I read that FOX has decided not to air the National Anthem as they have been. Fox, NBC, ABC (ESPN) and CBS news are not going to cover anything that hurts their bottom line and show anything that brings less viewership (money) to their Sports Departments.

Well...the Klan and Neo Nazis aren't known for their welcoming embrace of liberals.

Orders of magnitude more liberals in this country than Klan and Neo Nazis combined ever dreamed of having in their ranks.

These movements have perhaps a few thousand each any more? Tiny, tiny percentage of the population. Liberals on the other hand...

You're arguing liberals are racists? That's as stupid as the MSM calling Trump voters and conservatives racists.

In the Sunday AAS it was reported that some players of local high school team took a knee during the anthem Friday night. Was only a matter of time before the NFL wannabes joined in.

The reasons behind the protest are BS but I also take issue with disrespecting the flag/anthem part of it. If you want to say taking a knee or not coming out for the anthem is disrespectful that's fine, but I also have seen plenty of fans not showing their own definition of "proper respect". Fans were talking, wearing hats, sitting, and buying concessions before the protest started, and continue to do so now. Its hypocritical.

Actually, it is only hypocritical of the people doing such things, which are the minority. And when in the military, I always saluted the flag with my cover on when outdoors.
