If your significant other is of the opinion that urinating in the shower while showering is "icky" and "wrong", then I'd say there's a high percentage chance that that same significant other would balk at the cleaning of black powder firearms in the shower.

The chance that the significant other will get over it? 100%

    To All,

IF you have "problems" with your spouse for cleaning BP guns in the shower, you picked the WRONG one, imvho.

My "Texanne", who was born/raised in WA but who is now a proud Texican "gun chick", wants her own guns & recently "adopted" the Model 7615 that I had looked for for 2.5 years & wants a D-frame Colt for Christmas.
(Anyone have an "old school" Colt's Cobra for sale at a reasonable price??)

    yours, satx

    satx,
you're a language magician. Until now, I didn't realize that the phrases "Colt Cobra" and "reasonable price" could be fitted into the same sentence.

    BRD@66,

Fwiw, I bought a Colt's Cobra in MINT condition in SEP16 at GT Distributers in Austin for 229.oo plus tax.
    (I thought that reasonable.)

WHEN/IF the company gets more used Colts & S&Ws in, they likely will be about the same price as GT isn't a crowd of "price scalpers".

Guns are pretty insignificant compared to cylinder heads and engine blocks.

    TheDan,

    YEP.

For those of you with "sensitive spouses", ask them how they would like a 35HP antique Evinrude, Gale, Johnson or Sea King OB for a bedfellow.
(I long ago lost count of the old OB motors that got thorughly bathed in the bathtub, rehabbed in the living room and/or dining room & then put on a stand in the bedroom, when we shared a small cottage.)

Remedy this a way there is padawan.
That's like the worst Yoda EVER.

So. I'm probably around the corner, best I can guess. Tell me where and when I can fix this.

(I understand that there was a black powder gun cleaning class at the SF Austin Statue Center. Does that earn me any points?)

WARNING: If you shoot the Moonpie's collection of BP guns, you may start thinking of ways to sell your children to acquire your own. Highly addictive.

Mine hates when I clean my BP guns in the kitchen sink. Just the smell of the hot soapy water/burnt powder gets her annoyed. I try to do it when she's not home, but once I come home from shooting the clock starts ticking on cleaning them up.
