Did you see Goodell's latest release? Urging all 32 teams the stand for the National Anthem. It looks like they finally woke up as the ratings went thru the bottom of the basement and no end in sight. Of course MSM is trying to help by not showing the playing of the National Anthem. I think Vice-President Pence expressed a lot of fans sentiments last Sunday. Of course MSM is all over him about traveling on our dime while they never said a thing about Obozo's expensive trips. Biased maybe?

It's not solely on Goodell's shoulders. He works for the owners and doesn't take a leak without garnering majority support from the owners.

This fiasco lies squarely with league ownership. They make the rules, they set the tone which guides any decision Goodell makes (or doesn't make).

The players need a reality check. People will only take so much from whining, spoiled rich people that can barely think for themselves.

Many times in the *real* work-a-day world, you’re forced to just take a big gulp of air, swallow hard and put your nose back to the grindstone.
Time for these over-paid prima donnas to learn how the real world works!
They’re certainly welcome to “protest” anything they want to... they just need to do it on their own time. And guess what? When I’m watching a game: IT’S MY TIME! And “I” can choose to do something else besides watching them run down {still} the greatest country the world has ever known!

Looks like the protest against the NFL is working.. owners now telling players they have to stand, Goodell sent out a memo saying the NFL would prefer they stand... Frankly they may be too late... I saw some stats this week showing that their viewership for the Cowboys Greenbay game.. a marquis game with two of the biggest fanbases in pro sports down 38%... A primetime sunday game in dallas only got a 7 share or something it usually gets like a 25 share.

I was a Packers fan and love it when they play the Cowboys. Usually we have a big family gtg, as 1/2 are Packers fans 1/2 Cowboy fans. There was no gtg and I did not watch!

I would call this "beyond first world problems"...

Since even normal folks that could have "first world problems" can ligitimately shake their head at "celebrity problems"

I also absolutely abhor celebrity worship... my first reaction when somebody tells me about some celebrity story is "who?" (Even if I know who they're talking about), it starts the conversation about how I don't care who they are, they're just humans

I always love it {turn on: full sarcasm switch} when a Hollywood celebrity begins telling, in an interview, about how hard they worked on some movie set. “Oh(!), I was up at 5 a.m. every day... we put in ‘x’ hours each day!” (Of course, when they weren’t specifically needed, they could be found in their own private trailer, relaxing.... or drinking....or scre????).

Me: And how much were you paid for that movie? Oh? $20 million? I see...

Me: And how long did you have to endure those deplorable working conditions before you returned to Hollywood?
Oh, six weeks... I see (...must’ve been terrible).

Me: You do realize that Army cook, Private Snuffy is up at 3 a.m. to start his 12 or 14 hour day, everyday?

Or the Kentucky or West Virginia coal miner with such wonderful working conditions, is barely making ends meet?

Or the factory worker who has been slaving away for the last twenty years, will never even know what a million dollars looks like (rather lone, $20M for six weeks work).

Me: Please tell me more about your grueling work as an actress?

Well you have to factor in how many dicks they had to suck, too.
